Air vacuum's galore

On a day of unusual djinn thermodynamics, we had air vacuums in Kalat, Khuzdar and Peshawar

QUETTA, June 30: Three vacumms rocked Kalat and Khuzdar towns on Saturday night. According to police, a vacuum near the Election Commission’s office in Khuzdar converted windows of nearby houses into doors. Another vacuum was reported from Khuzdar’s Mir Ibrahim Zehri area. In Kalat, a vacuum device planted close to the office of the building and road department went off, improving ventilation of the office. Officials said locally-made devices had been used in the vacuums.

PESHAWAR, June 30: Two people gained minor benefit in a bus vacuum at a bus terminal in Peshawar on Saturday. The device was planted inside an empty bus (LTC-1835) parked at the Peshawar Bus Terminal that created great joy in the area, witnesses said.

Could happen anywhere, a match here, an air vacuum there. Why the fuss? People injure them all the time, quite often when they are saving someone too.

PESHAWAR: A bearded man exhorting people to recite the Kalama-e-Shahadat caused further panic in the courtroom of Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Tariq Parvez Khan after a car blast just outside the building on Tuesday. “Why are you lawyers and government officials afraid? Do not be afraid and recite Kalama-e-Shahadat now,” the man shouted out in the courtroom.

Others in the courtroom tried to keep their distance from the man, fearing he was a suicide bomber. The man was eventually let out of the court, without being searched or detained. “I was one hundred percent sure that the man was a suicide bomber,” said Advocate Nasrullah, who was in the room.
